If you have seen "Grok Bot" pop up in your feed and wondered whether it is just another chatbot, the short answer is no. This guide explains what it is, what it can actually do for a small business, and which plans include it. Every claim below links to an official xAI or Cursor page.

What is Grok Bot?

Grok Bot is an app from xAI that gives you "Bots": AI teammates with names, jobs and memory that carries over between tasks. xAI launched it in beta on August 11, 2026 (Introducing Grok Bot).

The big difference from a normal chatbot is that each Bot works on a persistent cloud computer with a browser, filesystem and terminal. That means it can sign in to the tools you already use and finish the job in the real tool, instead of handing you a draft to copy and paste (Grok Bot overview, xAI docs).

You work with a Bot by messaging it, the same way you would text an employee. You can type, dictate or start a voice chat. The Bot keeps you updated in the conversation and comes back when something needs your approval (overview).

Is Grok Bot part of Cursor?

This is why people search "cursor grok bot." Grok Bot signs in with a Cursor account and there is no separate Grok Bot login. The computers your Bots work on run in Cursor's cloud (Get started, Cursor docs; Grok Bot, Cursor docs). The official documentation is published on both docs.x.ai and cursor.com.

What can Grok Bot do?

Here is what the official docs confirm:

  • Work while you are away. Work runs on the cloud computer, so closing your laptop or phone does not stop a task or a routine (overview).
  • Use websites and apps. Bots use connectors (called plugins in Cursor's docs) where available, and operate the browser for everything else. A site can still block automation or need a human step, such as a password or a two-factor code. In those cases the Bot hands control to you (overview; FAQ).
  • Connect common business apps. Cursor's help center lists plugins for Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Slack and Notion, among others (Connect plugins).
  • Run several Bots at once. Bots can work in parallel, message each other, share a group chat and pass a task between themselves (overview).
  • Remember how you work. A named Bot keeps its memory, files, browser sessions and preferences across sessions (overview).
  • Repeat work on a schedule. You can save a process as a skill and have a Bot run it as a routine on a schedule or after an event (Skills and routines). Our routines and skills guide walks through this step by step.
  • Get its own email address. You can claim an address at mail.grokbot.com so your Bots can receive mail and draft replies. Every outgoing email waits for you to press Send (Give your Bot an email address).
  • Ask before risky steps. Sensitive actions can stop for your approval, and the docs recommend "Ask first" rules for sending, publishing, deleting and purchasing (FAQ).

One thing to know about privacy: all of your Bots share one computer, including its files and logins. The docs say not to use separate Bots as a security boundary (FAQ).

Which devices does it run on?

The desktop app runs on macOS, Windows and Linux. The xAI docs also list iPhone, iPad and Android 9 or later (FAQ). Note that the Cursor docs page lists the mobile app for iPhone only (Cursor docs), so Android support is described differently depending on which page you read.

Which plans include Grok Bot, and what does it cost?

This is where it gets confusing, because there are now two ways to pay: the new X Subscription and the older ("legacy") Cursor and SuperGrok plans.

The X Subscription (for new customers)

According to xAI's pricing docs, new self-serve customers choose from The X Subscription, and existing Cursor, SuperGrok and X Premium plans continue unless you switch (X Subscription pricing).

Plan Monthly Annual Includes Grok Bot?
Free $0 $0 No
Plus $8/mo $80/yr No
Premium $30/mo $300/yr Yes
Super $100/mo $1,000/yr Yes
Ultra $200/mo $2,000/yr Yes

Sources: x.ai/pricing and X Subscription pricing docs. Prices exclude tax. Premium, Super and Ultra are also sold as team seats at the same per-seat price, and Plus is not available for teams.

On these plans, Grok Bot draws from one weekly usage pool shared with Grok and Cursor. Super includes 15x the usage of Plus, and Ultra 50x, compared with 4x for Premium. When the pool runs out you can buy top-ups or wait for the weekly refresh (x.ai/pricing; Grok Bot on The X Subscription).

Legacy Cursor and SuperGrok plans

If you already pay for one of these, Cursor's help center says Grok Bot is included with:

  • Cursor Pro, Pro+ and Ultra (each with more weekly usage than the last)
  • Self-serve Cursor Teams plans
  • A linked individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy or X Premium+ subscription
  • An assigned seat on a self-serve Grok Business plan

SuperGrok Lite does not include it. A Cursor plan and a SuperGrok link do not add together; Grok Bot uses whichever gives more weekly usage (Plans and billing, Cursor help). The prices of these legacy plans are not listed on the pages we checked, so we have left them out.

Cursor's help center also describes a free trial that is a usage credit with a 7-day window. A big job can use it all in one run, and used credit is not restored (Plans and billing).

Where the official sources disagree

We found these conflicts on official pages on October 17, 2026:

  1. Shared or separate usage? The launch post and the "more plans" post say Grok Bot "comes with its own usage, separate from your Grok and Cursor plans" (launch; more plans). The X Subscription pages say Bot usage draws from the shared weekly pool (pricing docs). Our reading: the blog posts describe the older plans, and the shared pool applies once you are on The X Subscription.
  2. Which plans are listed. The xAI docs overview and FAQ still describe access through paid Cursor plans and SuperGrok links, and do not mention The X Subscription (overview). Cursor's help center and x.ai/pricing do (plans).
  3. X Premium+ and Grok Business. Cursor's help center lists X Premium+ links and Grok Business seats. The xAI overview does not.
  4. Android. Listed in the xAI docs, missing from the Cursor docs overview.

When in doubt, treat x.ai/pricing as the current price list and your own account's plan screen as the final word.

Is Grok Bot worth it for a small business?

It suits jobs that are repetitive, span a few tools and have a clear finish line, such as sorting an inbox, checking a store each morning or drafting replies to reviews. Start with one Bot and one small task, keep sending and purchasing behind your approval, and only automate once the output is reliable. That is the approach the official docs recommend too (Use cases).
